My dream comes true.

I used to work hard as marketing services manager, sales manager and sales administration manager at some companies in Tokyo Japan. I got up at 5:00 in the morning, commuted by train fully packed with people, my face was squashed to the door of the train, and back home around mid-night by last train. It was happened almost every day. I did some extra work at home even on Saturday and Sunday. I dedicated myself to those companies having multiple tasks, just wanted to support people in my way. It sounds like very Japanese, doesn't it? People think Japanese work very hard with loyalty to their company. I was not such a typical Japanese. I wanted to support people who needed my help with anything I could do, just for people.

How could I change my life? I had no idea. I felt I needed to make my own time to enjoy myself. I decided to go to a baking class, because I like bread, I like eating freshly baked bread. I finished standard baking skill course. My work, however got busier, hard to find time to bake at home. One day in my busy days, I met a British man in Japan. He is my husband who saved me from my very busy life in Japan. I decided to move over to UK to spend rest of my life with him. Now I've got time, to enjoy my life with my husband, to bake for him, not only for myself.

We both love curry! I want to share Maki's curry buns with people here in Rowarth, High Peak where I've found my new life.

Maki's

Curry Buns

Curry Buns are very popular in Japan with people of all ages from children to the elderly. We enjoy eating curry buns, sometime at lunch, or as a light snack in the afternoon. It's easy to find it at bakery in Japan. Most of them are not baked, but deep-fried which is original way to make. I prefer baked curry buns, because the dough texture is more lighter and softer, better taste when you eat it with Japanese curry, not oily flavor, and it's healthy! I use my own receipt on both of the dough and the curry filling, you would find something different but deliciousness on Maki's curry buns. You can not find this curry bun anywhere else, only in Rowarth. "Best curry buns in Rowarth."
